Arkival Storehouse, a small black woman-owned vintage shop, has been the ever-evolving project of its enterprising owner, Jocelyn Brown, since its inception in 2015! Born from a passion for fashion, and a deep appreciation for history and research Arkival Storehouse is a destination for fashion lovers wanting to find unique, curated pieces with an important story to tell.

Jocelyn's journey with Arkival Storehouse began long before the public was aware! The Arkival brand has taken on many different shapes as it was carefully developed and curated during Jocelyn’s college career. While studying at Columbia College in Chicago, IL, Jocelyn discovered an unforgettable connection between fashion and the black diaspora that shaped the Arkival brand into its final and strongest form. Drawing inspiration from the intricate relationship between African Americans and the Fashion Industry, Jocelyn has been able to create and curate collections inspired by untold stories and archival photos of black women throughout history.

Though the idea took root in 2015, it wasn't until 2021 that Arkival Storehouse officially opened and began selling on Instagram stories. In 2022, Jocelyn began to indulge in the Chicago vintage scene vending pop-ups throughout the city. Arkival storehouse will still provide in-person experiences at pop-ups with Shopthearkive.com being its primary home. The Arkival Storehouse brand is still steadily evolving and growing. Join us on this journey, as we give pre-loved garments new lives while honoring their past ones!
