1960s Vera Hicks Top
This gorgeous top was made by a Mid-Western designer from St. Louis by the name of Vera Hicks. Vera was known for custom pieces in the St. Louis in the 1940s and 50s. Her designs could be found in multiple local department stores for years. She opened her shop in 1954 and it ran out of the Park Plaza Hotel for 17 years before closing.
We aren’t sure if this is a custom top or one from her shop but either way, the piece is gorgeous. It features a unique pleating style and a fun collar shape. We are obsessed with the elbow darts that add extra shaping to the sleeve! This top is in Pristine condition which speaks to its quality!
The top is not tagged for size. The model is a size XS
Please note, that we measure the garments lying flat. So we are only measuring the front width. For the entire measurement, double the length listed.
